5 ways to give back in the Carolinas this month

Fall has arrived in the Carolinas, and the holidays are just around the corner. Can you feel it? Get in the spirit of the season with these 5 ways to give back in the Carolinas this month.
What better holiday gift than to bring a pup home? On the heels of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month (and our callout to #PawsForAPepsi), it’s not too late to support homeless pups. Explore the adoption process through the Humane Society of Charlotte, which offers 10% discounts to all military members, the Charleston Animal Society, which actually hosted a Paws in the Park Walk & Fun Run Nov. 16, or any other local shelter.

Through Dec. 31, you can win cash on Pepsi purchases. Simply:
- Purchase any specially marked Pepsi 12-oz. 12-pack or 7.5-oz 10- or 15-pack.
- Scan the QR code on the pack to enter online.
- Use the digital scratch-off to see if you won.
- Share your earnings with a friend, family member or charity, or gift it to yourself.

While you’re taking time to feel grateful for what you have, don’t forget to lend a helping hand as well. Contact your local homeless shelter to see if your family or company can prepare and bring a meal to serve to homeless neighbors. Pull from our Pepsi recipes list for some ideas.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival continues through Nov. 24 in Huntersville. Catch a jousting competition, browse the handmade wares at the Artisan Market and pair a Pepsi with a turkey leg. Sponsored by Pepsi, the festival offers $300,000 in free admission to support nonprofits in the region.
Honor our military veterans by considering a donation to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Through college scholarships and educational counseling, the foundation supports children whose parents have lost their lives during service. Every year, we’re honored to support the foundation through our 9,000-mile relay called Rolling Remembrance.
