4 Fourth of July events to attend in the Carolinas

Need last-minute plans for the Fourth? Since the beginning of Pepsi, we’ve believed in being an active part of the community we come from. So join your neighbors across the Carolinas in enjoying live music, fireworks and more to kick off the national holiday. There are plenty of celebrations — both ticketed and free — to choose from. Here are four that we’re excited to support:
Party on July 4th for free from 5-10 p.m. in downtown Greenville, SC. Expect two stages (including the Pepsi Stage) booming with live music, not to mention one of South Carolina’s largest fireworks shows. Food and drinks will be available for purchase as well.
Bonus: You can volunteer at the event through one of our co-sponsors, The Blood Connection, which serves as Greenville’s community blood center. Get details about the volunteer program here.

Who says Fourth of July celebrations should last only one day? The Red, White and Blue Festival in Morganton, NC lasts three days, with 12 exciting bands in the lineup. While the original festival emphasized bluegrass music, the event has grown to encompass a variety of genres. Get your fill at Catawba Meadows Park July 4-6.

Join eight hours of free festivities at Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville from 2-10 p.m. on July 4. Be sure to bring your pup for a jumping competition that includes prizes, and to bring your kids for playtime with giant inflatables, crafts, a splash fountain and more. For the whole family, there will be live music performances, food and drinks for purchase, and fireworks to top off the night.

You can’t go wrong with a night in the stands watching two baseball teams that Pepsi is proud to support. Cheer on the Hickory Crawdads and the Columbia Fireflies at 7 p.m. at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory, NC, with fireworks finishing off the game.
