7 fall activities to try in the Carolinas, from a corn maze to pumpkin carving

The air is getting crisper, the leaves are starting to turn and the fun in the Carolinas is just beginning for this new season. Here are 7 fall activity ideas to get you in the spirit:

We love fall traditions — particularly corn mazes. In 2018, Pepsi Bottling Ventures sponsored the family-friendly Aw Shucks corn maze in Monroe, NC. Traversing the logo was a 25-minute adventure. Every year, the farm offers a corn maze challenge, animal barn exploration, field trip activities and more. Get details here.
Need some easy decorating inspiration? As long as you can cut in a circle, the Pepsi logo is a simple, local design option for your fall pumpkins. Print out our logo stencil (here), tape it to your pumpkin and get started.
Did you know the Blue Ridge Parkway is 469 miles long? Take a leisurely cruise through North Carolina and take in our home’s natural beauty. We work to protect just that through our policies — Pepsi is on a path to realizing zero deforestation in our company-owned and operated activities and supply chains by 2020.

What’s fall without a tailgate with friends followed by the big game? Cheer on your favorite players in the Carolinas and don’t forget to include your favorite Pepsi product in your cooler.

Halloween is approaching, and all you really need is a blue, black or silver bodysuit. Peel a label off of a Pepsi bottle, cut out the logo from the label, and tape it to your chest. There you go. You’re a Pepsi can.

Bring your pup, too! There are plenty of local, dog-friendly beaches, including:
- Duck Island, NC, where dogs are allowed to play on the beach off-leash all year.
- Isle of Palms, SC, which allows dogs off-leash with a permit Sept. 15 to March 31, from 4 p.m.-10 a.m.
- Bald Head Island, NC, where you can let your pup roam off-leash year-round on the beaches except during turtle nesting.
- Sullivan’s Island, SC, where, from Sept. 15 to March 31, pups are permitted off-leash from 4 p.m.-10 a.m., and on-leash from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Don’t forget all of the festivals we’re sponsoring through the end of the year! Pepsi Bottling Ventures is helping out with the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh in September, and the Carolina Renaissance Festival in Huntersville in October, among others. Get details here.
Meanwhile, Carolina Canners is supporting Fall for Greenville in South Carolina in October, and MumFest in New Bern in October, among others. Get details here.
