
4 Easy recipes that include Pepsi, from BBQ sauce to ice cream floats

Sometimes a simple recipe just needs a little extra pop. Try adding a splash (or more) of Pepsi to these 4 recipes.
Cool down with vanilla ice cream, topped with that Pepsi fizz.
Ingredients:
3 Scoops of vanilla ice cream
1 Ice-cold Pepsi (best from the glass bottle)
1 Can of whipped cream
1 Cherry
Whip it up:
Add vanilla ice cream to a tall ice cream glass. Pour Pepsi overtop, leaving room for foam. Top with whipped cream, to preference. Add 1 cherry as the final touch.
Add some sweetness to ketchup-based BBQ sauce with a bottle of Pepsi.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp Butter
¼ c. Onion (chopped)
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
2 c. Ketchup
⅔ c. Apple cider vinegar
1 Pepsi (20 oz. bottle)
⅓ c. Dijon mustard
¼ c. Brown sugar
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Cayenne pepper
2 ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
½ tsp Salt
Whip it up:
Over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in butter in a saucepan until tender, about 5 minutes. Set aside. In the same saucepan, add ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Pepsi, mustard, brown sugar and honey. Bring to a boil. Add garlic and onions. Then add Worcestershire, cayenne, paprika and salt. Stir. Simmer until reduced, about 1 hour.

Ingredients:
1 c. Pepsi
⅓ c. Soy sauce
¼ c. Rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp Sesame oil
Whip it up:
Place a skillet on medium-high heat. Combine Pepsi, soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until slightly thick. Cool before using to dip.

1 Box chocolate cake mix (your preference)
1 Box chocolate instant pudding mix
1 Can Pepsi
3/4 c. Applesauce
4 Large eggs
Frosting (your preference)
Whip it up:
Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease a round cake pan that holds 10-15 cups. In a bowl, stir together the cake mix and pudding. Blend the soda, applesauce and eggs. Add the batter to the pan and bake until a toothpick comes out with no crumbs (about 40-45 minutes). Let cool, then add frosting.
