Sometimes a simple recipe just needs a little extra pop. Try adding a splash (or more) of Pepsi to these 4 recipes.

Pepsi Float

Cool down with vanilla ice cream, topped with that Pepsi fizz.

Ingredients:

3 Scoops of vanilla ice cream

1 Ice-cold Pepsi (best from the glass bottle)

1 Can of whipped cream

1 Cherry

Whip it up:

Add vanilla ice cream to a tall ice cream glass. Pour Pepsi overtop, leaving room for foam. Top with whipped cream, to preference. Add 1 cherry as the final touch.

Sweet & Spicy Pepsi BBQ Sauce

Add some sweetness to ketchup-based BBQ sauce with a bottle of Pepsi.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Butter

¼ c. Onion (chopped)

2 cloves Garlic (minced)

2 c. Ketchup

⅔ c. Apple cider vinegar

1 Pepsi (20 oz. bottle)

⅓ c. Dijon mustard

¼ c. Brown sugar

1 tbsp Honey

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Cayenne pepper

2 ½ tsp Smoked Paprika

½ tsp Salt

Whip it up:

Over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in butter in a saucepan until tender, about 5 minutes. Set aside. In the same saucepan, add ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Pepsi, mustard, brown sugar and honey. Bring to a boil. Add garlic and onions. Then add Worcestershire, cayenne, paprika and salt. Stir. Simmer until reduced, about 1 hour.

Pepsi Round Cake

When you’re craving a hit of chocolate, why not swirl in the sweetness of Pepsi?

Ingredients

1 Box chocolate cake mix (your preference)

1 Box chocolate instant pudding mix

1 Can Pepsi

3/4 c. Applesauce

4 Large eggs

Frosting (your preference)

Whip it up:

Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease a round cake pan that holds 10-15 cups. In a bowl, stir together the cake mix and pudding. Blend the soda, applesauce and eggs. Add the batter to the pan and bake until a toothpick comes out with no crumbs (about 40-45 minutes). Let cool, then add frosting.
